Fresh Starts & Hard Lessons - May 2026 Update
Happy May!
It has been a hot minute — my apologies. The past two months have been a little crazy.
I finished my schooling for the year; now it’s the summer break. Exams were brutal.
I started a new job at my college, and it’s nice. I’m working at a safe space for students of the LGBTQIA+ Community, and I feel really honored.
I feel that no matter who you are, you deserve a space where you can feel safe, and it should not be overshadowed by other people’s beliefs or other communities.
One thing I’m not entirely looking forward to is walking in the parade — it’s just too big and so unorganized. To help with that, I bought a handheld fan from Costco, and it seems decent for now.
Friendship Woes
Another thing I’ve been meaning to write about is how friendship isn’t the same for everyone — everyone has their own definition of friendship.
For me, friends are trusted people you want to talk to, and who are willing to make time for you, whether for serious life stuff or just for fun and companionship.
I tried to be friends with this person, and I ultimately decided they are not worth my energy. The friendship was one-sided, and no matter how hard I tried, it just didn’t meet my standard of friendship. After a series of events — where yes, some of it was my fault — I don’t think I was entirely to blame. There were moments where they were disrespectful towards me, and I, not thinking clearly, accepted it. But after bringing it up recently, instead of owning up to their mistake, they tried to discredit me and make it seem like I was spreading misinformation — and they ultimately punished me for it. It opened my eyes to the fact that this person isn’t really a good friend, and I’d rather not have that energy in my life.
You have the power to take control of your own actions, but you can’t control others. You should always put yourself first — always! Your mental state and health are important and should never be neglected.
I regret being so blind in trying to make that friendship work. They seemed nice at first, but their true character revealed itself over time.
Portfolio Updates
I have a new project on my portfolio — a little evidence vault. My father asked me to build this site for a legal matter he’s dealing with, and I thought it would be great to share with others too. Feel free to check it out!
That’s all for now! Thank you for taking the time to read. Have a great day!
Kind Regards,
